Waffles is ONE!!

Our yorkie-poo Puppy is now One year old. she is full-grown we are told. But at just 9 pounds she will always be a puppy to us. People say you save an animal from the shelter. I beg to differ. She saved us. She has brought so much happiness to our lives. Shes brought my Child with aspergers out of his shell.

She goes everywhere with us. School drop offs in the morning, camping, grandparents visits. Shes a great addition to our family. Here are some pictures of her first year.

This is the day we brought her home. The first time we met her.

Buying her a harness and leash. My son with Aspergers was holding her. Since the day we brought her home he has not wanted to set her down. This is one pampered pup.

Waffles loves car rides!

Her first time camping. She had a blast. We knew at that moment we fell in love with the perfect pup for us.

Growing up! Shes looking like an adult Yorkie-poo now. She is 7 months old. She loves to nap on my bed.

Bath time! She loves the bath.

Her favorite ball. Loves wiffle balls!

The big day has arrived!! Waffles is ONE YEAR OLD!! 10/1

Here is a picture with her in her Halloween costume.

Thanks for stopping by…

Rededication ceremony..

Today is the rededication ceremony for the preschool my son just completed his Eagle Scout Project at.

The mayor, city counsel members, Church elders are to be in attendance. Another big day for my son.

And my son will be presenting the preschool the remainder of the monies he fundraised that were left over after his project was complete . A good sized check. The preschool isn’t aware of that part yet 🙂

There is to be a ribbon cutting, icecream, refreshments. And a thank you to my son.

Its going to be another great day!

His Thank you from the children and staff at the pre school 🙂

Today is the day before tomorrow..

Today is the day before tomorrow which is the day my sons Eagle Scout Project begins!!

I’m so excited! And nervous.  We’ve been to Home Depot 4 times so far today and they don’t close for another 2 1/2  hours.  So there is still time to go back!

My son is nervous about having enough Boy Scouts to do the work. His job is to lead and supervise the project. Not do the manual work.

So far today we’ve had one dad and 2 boys step down from the work schedule. I’m hoping we don’t lose anymore.

Its been a long road to get my aspie son to this point. I’m so proud of him. What a huge thing this will be when its complete.
Project is set for tomorrow and Saturday. If it goes off as planned and gets completed I’m planning a celebration dinner for my son Saturday night.

This project has been being planned and worked on since November of 2011. 9 months! Im so excited to see his design plans at work and the completed product.
He is building 2 covers for our Churchs preschool sand boxes. To keep the sand clean. And animal droppings out.

One sand box is concrete and in good condition. The other my son is rebuilding. Its made of wood and has a wood seat. All the wood is termite damaged and rotten.

Well anyway. I will update as the project goes.

Its been one heck of a day!

Its been one heck of a day and its not even noon yet!

We’ve had 2 earthquakes. A 4.0 and 4.5. Nothing big. Just gets your attention. We are EQ prepared so its all ok.

My son slammed thumb in car door. And I ran into the trucks mirror with my arm/ shoulder.

Then I was on way to my mother in laws when the 4.5 EQ hit I made a u turn and raced home to get our puppy (she gets scared). Then back to mother in laws.

From there we went to the bank. Well the lady teller while counting our money ripped a bill in half.  A funny Jamaican lady with a very strong accent. She was like OH MY GOODNESS! It was very funny.

Wonder what’s going to happen next..

Happy 4th of July!

For the first time in my children’s life, fireworks are legal. The safe and sane type that is. Its just a two year trial at this time. Ill bet their illegal again in two years.

Summer time fun and my aspie kiddo

Ive tried very hard to make sure there is a schedule everyday even during the summer.

My aspie thrives with tight schedules (as the rest of the family does as well). No schedule= meltdowns, whining, tears, and possible stemming which we refer to as spinning and flapping in this house.

Camping was a success. No tears, whining, frustration. We did have one break through flapping session when we bought ice cream.

The rest of this week we have playdates, an rv to clean, chores to be done and Church activities.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!
