There are still kind people in this world!

There are some truly kind people in the world still. You know the kind of people that stop what they are doing to help a stranger.

And then when you thank them they say glad to help sweetheart. Have a great day!

I was at home depot trying to match a paint sample the employees weren’t being helpful. Just kept saying we need a sample big enough to get in this machine!

After the third time she said that, this man stopped his cart turned around and said do you have a fan book of colors?! Girl says yes. He says good! Let me see it.

He walks over to me and says let’s take a look. He tells me he has a pretty good eye. So we look.. he finds the perfect match. I thank him for taking time out of his busy day to help me. To which he replies glad to help sweetheart. Have a great day!

I turn back to less than helpful employee which is now a manager instead. And I say thank God for that man since I didn’t have the right size sample!! She says oh he’s a contractor. He’s here every morning. He doesn’t usually talk to anyone.

Well he did talk to me. And I’m forever greatful.

And with that we will listen- Relocation update

This whole relocating thing has been very trying. Many hurdles have turned into doors closing in our face. At every turn just when you think you’ve got it figured out another door closes.

Many trips to Arizona and only one problem solved. Arizona won’t take our CA license to get an Arizona license. They also won’t take our abstract birth certs CA gave out. And you need a Arizona address to get a license in Arizona.

Hubby’s new possible employer  (Inter Dealer transfer)  won’t make an offer in writing till hubby gets Arizona license and is living In Arizona. We can’t buy a home in Arizona till we can prove he’s employed in the state. Starting to see our problem??

We were starting to get very discouraged. But kept moving through the hurdles. With the help of our awesome friends that live in Arizona. (You know who you are!)

Well this week a HUGE door opened. My hubby was called into his bosses office and offered  to be the Shop Foreman to stay in Ca. This puts us in a different financial group. And allows us to buy a home in the state.

I want to say to God we are sorry we weren’t listening to all the signs. We can be slow and stubborn at times. But I HEAR YOU LOUD AND CLEAR NOW GOD!

I will follow the path you have set before us. Thank you God for making it very clear for us. #Blessed

Inland Empire fun

We had a great time on our trip this last week. We stayed at La Quinta Inn and Suites. Doggy friendly, clean, nice staff and breakfast daily.
image

And warm cookies in the evening.
image

We went to Old Town Temecula and enjoyed a root beer, pickle and a nice walk down the center of town.
image

image
We visited the museum in Temecula about its history. It was pretty cool.
image
image

We drove around Menifee, Murrieta and Temecula and came to the conclusion we don’t want to live in the Inland Empire. And with that we look seriously to Arizona. Woot!

While on our trip we dropped into Petco to get some supplies for the pup and found a toy she loves.
image

Fuel was more expensive in Temecula than it is here. :-0 which is quite surprising.

We had a wonderful relaxing get away.

Summer fun on the weekend

We had a great and slightly weird weekend.

It started with going to the Aquarium of the Pacific. The boys and I have been there a few times. My hubby had never been.

image

We had an awesome time there. We then went home and made reservations to stay in a cabin at a camp ground. This is where it got weird.

We arrived Sunday after looking at some open houses in that area. My camera kept screwing up. Wouldn’t video tape a certain home. Hubbys camera battery died in that home even though it was fully charged when we left our house 2 hours before.

Both videos I tried to take have weird clicking and then shut off. I tried to tape whole house. I never shut off video. Camera kept doing it.

We had a great lunch at Benny’s

image

While in city we also looked at the old mill. People claim its haunted by a 16-18 Year old girl. All looked good to me. Its an abandoned building.

Its old town section is adorable.

Well then off to camp ground and a scared to death pup as soon as we entered the cabin.

image

Pup wouldn’t let my son set her down. She was shaking and shivering violently. As soon as hubby got there I told him something on here she’s scared of. He turned place upside down.
We found rodent droppings. We got in car and drove home! Thank God my pup has a good nose.

So our mini vacation went wacko. But we’re not going to die from some rodent virus. And for that I’m greatful. We set out for an adventure. We got one!

image

Maybe it was the super moon that created the weirdness.

Monday found us at ShoreLine Village, The Korean friendship bell and a picnic lunch.

We also did a drive by on the Iowa Battleship

It was a wacky weekend. But it was fun!

Its been busy

Sorry for slacking off. We sold our RV. And that was a three week project! It is on its way to USSR yes. Russia! The man that bought it owns a private beach he has RVs parked on and he rents them out.

So our RV has a very exciting final trip in store. It left our house yesterday to go to port authority to be checked in by customs. Then placed in shipping container and onto ship.
image

It sets sail Friday to the USSR, Russia or bust!

What a wonderful trip for our beloved trailer. It was a dear friend to us. But it was time to part ways and free ourselves from the loan we had on it so we can make room for our new home to come!!

One more hurdle down. One more step closer to home ownership!

Today I gave notice to my boss I will not be returning to work next school year. Ahh it feels so good!! I have 16 years of living in this house to clean up and pack. I am going to be a busy girl!

Oh!! And as tradition goes I bought my new handbag for summer. Its a tradition we’ve done since I haven’t carried a diaper bag. LoL

Such a busy time

Wow!! Time fly’s when your having fun!!
Updates on our journey to Home ownership are..

We are starting to seriously shop. We have a realtor, pre approval, and a plan to move forward on.

The children are excited. We are at peace with our plans.

This coming week I’m taking our youngest son to the doctor for an ongoing cough that I’m fairly sure may be diagnosed as asthma. Welcome to coastal CA. My hubby and older son have asthma, me and youngest son have bad allergies. And now he has a bad cough that goes away if we go inland even for a few hours.
image

We need a dryer hotter climate.
The time we spent in Arizona for Easter break were medication free! No inhalers, no allergy meds, no arthritis meds. It was wonderful to be a non pill popping, inhaler pumping family!

Ok back to my home search. Have a great day.

**Update.. son has allergies and mild asthma now.
